This is another side by side test between Google Chrome and the Sept. 1st, 2008 nightly build of WebKit which unless I am wrong includes Squirrelfish. Higher numbers are better. Chrome is definitely the leader of the pack here.

I ran the V8 JavaScript benchmark against all 4 browsers that I have installed on my Windows machine with 4 GB of RAM. Chrome kicked some serious ass, although to be fair, it was Google’s team that put together the benchmark. Then again, the benchmark consists of a series of tests from other sources.
As expected, IE7 performed the worst (have not downloaded IE8 beta yet), with Safari next up and Firefox coming in second. Safari hasn’t implemented Squirrelfish yet, so I’ll be interested to see how it will stack up then.
